Most of these sculptures are made entirely from scrap: pieces of discarded metal and other salvaged materials that others have left behind. A piece may sit in the workshop for weeks, sometimes months, simply being looked at. Then, one day, an idea is born out of it, in a shape, a texture, the curve of an edge. From there it slowly comes to life, guided as much by the material as by the hand.
